Oak Ridge Hwy (SR-62)
Traffic on SR-62 is not only a poor level of service (by volume) but frequently has slow moving trucks and equipment between Oak Ridge and Knoxville with few viable passing lane options. By having 4 lanes from Schaad Road to SR-162, more traffic will use this to and from Knoxville to Oak Ridge in lieu of I-40 or I-75.
Oak Ridge Hwy (SR-62)
I encourage the addition of bike lanes, widened shoulders, adjacent greenways and/ or sidewalks where possible. I believe that increasing interconnectivity of greenways/sidewalks and wide (bikeable) roadways/ bridges will greatly benefit our community in both the short and long term.Thank you for reading this and considering my input.
